Your nearest vet if you live or work in Ras Al Khor
This is the clinic's own area. Residents of Samari Residences are a few minutes away on foot. Staff from the workshops and warehouses of Ras Al Khor Industrial usually drive over in a break. You can walk in without a booking. A consultation is AED 120, and a nurse tells you the waiting time at the desk.
Two kinds of owner use us most from here. The first lives in a flat with 1 or 2 cats, or a small dog, and comes for vaccination, neutering and grooming. The second feeds the cats around a warehouse or yard, and brings one in when it is limping, sneezing or pregnant.
Surgery, digital x-ray, ultrasound and the blood analysers are all in this one shop. A cat hit by a car on an industrial road can be examined, scanned and admitted in the same visit. After 12 AM the clinic is closed. The phone is still answered, and the nurse on the urgent care line tells you what to do.

Living with pets in Ras Al Khor
Warehouse and yard cats
Many companies here have cats that the staff feed. Neutering 2 or 3 of them stops the colony growing. Tell us it is a yard cat when you book, because a cat that is not used to handling needs a covered carrier and a quieter kennel.
Coolant, oil and rat bait
Workshops use engine coolant, and warehouses put down rodent bait. Both are poisonous to cats and dogs in small amounts. If you saw your animal lick or eat either one, call before any signs appear. Bring the container or a photo of the label.
Trucks and loading bays
Trucks reverse and turn all day on the industrial streets, and cats shelter under parked vehicles. A cat that walks away from a knock can still have a chest or bladder injury. It should be examined the same day, even if it is eating.
Walking over in summer
In July the pavement can burn a dog's pads within a minute. Carry a small dog, or come after sunset. Keep a cat carrier out of direct sun and cover it with a light towel, not a thick blanket. The walk is short, but 5 minutes in midday sun is enough to strain a sick cat.
Visits after a shift
The clinic is open until 12 AM every day. If your shift ends at 8 or 9 PM, there is still time for a consultation, a vaccine or picking up a cat after surgery. Send a WhatsApp message before you leave work and we tell you how long the wait is.
Microchip and registration
Dubai Municipality registration starts with a microchip and a valid rabies vaccination. We place the chip and record the vaccine in the vaccination book. That is the paperwork you are asked for when you register a cat or dog.
