02Overview
Three kinds of stay
Boarding is for a healthy cat while you travel. The nightly price applies to cats that need no medication and no monitoring by a vet. Your cat has her own kennel, her own food and a litter tray, and she is looked at by clinic staff every day. If she stops eating or starts sneezing, a vet is already in the building.
Medical boarding is for the cat no cattery will take. That means a diabetic on insulin, a kidney patient on fluids, or a cat on tablets twice a day. The price is set after a consultation, because it depends on what has to be given and how often. A dog's stay has no fixed nightly price and is quoted the same way.
Inpatient care is for an animal that is ill now. Typical cases are drips, injectable medication, a blocked cat with a catheter, or recovery after surgery. Anything that could spread goes to the isolation ward. That includes cat flu, ringworm and parvovirus. The ward is kept apart from the other patients.

How a stay works
For boarding, book on WhatsApp at least a week ahead in summer and over the December holidays.

Send a photo of the vaccination page. The combined vaccine and rabies both have to be in date. If a booster is due, have it done 2 weeks before drop-off.

Admission
The vet or nurse checks weight, eyes, nose, ears and coat. You sign the admission form and leave 2 phone numbers.

During the stay
Your cat eats her usual food at her usual times. Staff record appetite, water, urine and stool each day. Message the clinic on WhatsApp to ask how she is.

If something changes
We call you before any test or treatment, with the cost. Keep your phone on while you travel. Name someone in Dubai who can decide for you if you are in the air.

Going home

The summer exodus
Many families fly out between late June and the end of August. Places fill by May. Eid breaks and the last 2 weeks of December are the other peaks.
The sitter who visits once a day
A flat with the air conditioning off can pass 35°C indoors in July. If the power or the cooling fails, a cat alone has 24 hours until the next visit. That is the main reason owners here choose boarding.
Relocation gaps
Leaving the UAE often means days between handing back the flat and the flight. A cat can board with us while the export paperwork, the rabies dates and the travel crate are sorted.
Rescued cats and the isolation ward
A cat straight from the street cannot share air with boarders. Sneezing, diarrhoea or bald patches mean isolation until a vet says otherwise. Rescuers should tell us the history when they book.
Drop-off in the heat
Cool the car first and carry the box straight in. Do not leave a carrier on the pavement while you unload. At midday the ground can burn a paw through the base.
Late collection
The clinic is open until 12 AM every day. If your flight lands at 9 PM, you can still collect your cat that night.

Call first. The phone is answered 24 hours, and the nurse will tell you whether to come in now.

08Afterwards
The first days back home
Many cats are quiet or clingy for a day after boarding. Some hiss at the cat who stayed home, because the returning cat smells of the clinic. Keep them apart for a few hours and swap bedding between them.
An inpatient goes home with written instructions. Follow the medication times exactly. Call if a dose is missed or vomited, and do not double the next one.
